About Me

PERSONAL

Hi, I'm Skye! I am currently a high school senior in Los Angeles, California. Volleyball is my passion! My coaches tell me that my strongest assets are my speed, athleticism and my work ethic. I attribute this partly to genetics, as my father was praised for the same during his time at Stanford and in the NFL.  I thrive being a student-athlete because I love learning and competing. My teachers tell me that my strongest asset in the classroom is also my work ethic.  I believe that hard work achieves goals in all areas of life.

My athletic goal is to join a collegiate volleyball program with a competitive team that wants to win and grow together.

INTERESTS

Outside of volleyball, I enjoy winter sports. Whether it's snowboarding, going to hockey games, or ice skating, I definitely enjoy the snow!  In the summers, I enjoy being on the beach playing volleyball in California,  golfing,  swimming, tennis, and spending time at the ranch riding horses with my grandparents in the Canadian Rockies.

I like to serve at my school and in the community.  I enjoy working with youth, the elderly, the underprivileged, and animals! Groups I belong to and my other areas of interest include Law, Financial Literacy for Youth, Film, Sport Psychology, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Environment Club, Business Club and Upward Bound House for the Homeless.
